About Sarah Prashad, RP
Psychotherapist
Throughout my years and experience as a Registered Psychotherapist, I strive to challenge my clients, while encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones, strengthen their self-awareness, and discover their full potential. I believe in taking a collaborative and goal-oriented approach in therapy. The therapeutic alliance is at the forefront of my practice, and I aim to create a treatment plan that is uniquely tailored to each client’s lived experiences, strengths, and goals.
As a former collegiate softball player at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, I specialize in working with current and former athletes, as well as individuals who value an active lifestyle or are working to intentionally integrate wellness into their daily routines. I also support clients with a variety of general mental health concerns, including, but not limited to: anxiety, self-esteem, ADHD, life transitions, and have a special focus on women’s health.
My experience competing at the collegiate level allows me to deeply understand the unique pressures one can face — including performance expectations, identity tied to sport, injury, burnout, balancing academics or career demands, and navigating transitions out of competition. Having lived the discipline, structure, and intensity of high-performance environments, I offer both clinical expertise and firsthand insight into the mental demands of life and sport as a whole.
I look forward to supporting you on your therapeutic journey, whether you are new to therapy or have previously engaged in it. My goal is to meet you where you are and work alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges. Outside of my practice, I enjoy staying active and participating in recreational sports, including golf, slow-pitch, tennis, and pickleball. I enjoy cooking, and experimenting with new recipes!
