Lab Testing

Great Options for Naturopathic Patients

As we approach the end of the year, this is a great time to make the most of any remaining naturopathic benefits or Health Spending Account funds.

Many patients aren’t aware that specialized lab testing ordered by Naturopathic Doctors is not covered by OHIP, which makes these tests an ideal use of extended health benefits in the naturopathic category.

Why Consider Lab Testing Now?

This season, many of our patients choose to put remaining benefits toward comprehensive lab kits that offer deep insights into hormones, digestion, and overall health. Our most popular options include:

  • LifeLabs Routine Blood Work
    $50-250, no tax
For patients who want to check in on overall health markers such as cholesterol, iron levels, thyroid function, vitamin D, blood sugar, and more. Lab requisitions can be provided by your Naturopathic Doctor for convenient testing at LifeLabs.
  • DUTCH Test Kit (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones)
    $300–$450, no tax
Evaluates sex hormones, adrenal function, irregular menstrual cycles, perimenopause and menopause changes. Excellent for women wanting detailed hormone mapping, especially valuable in preparation of using hormone replacement therapy during menopausal changes.
  • SIBO Breath Test Kit
    $275, no tax
Assesses bacterial overgrowth contributing to IBS symptoms such as bloating, constipation, and diarrhea.
  • GI-MAP Stool Test Kit
    $575, no tax
Provides an in-depth look at the gut microbiome, digestion, pathogens, and inflammation markers.
  • RMA Food Sensitivity Testing
    $275–$350, no tax
Evaluates reactions to a wide range of foods to help guide dietary adjustments and reduce inflammation, digestive discomfort, or other sensitivities.

Additional specialized test kit options available.
